Please join us in cultivating a modern herbal movement for the next generation! We are hosting an inspiring day of herbal classes, walks, talks, & connections, followed by an evening including fresh dinner fare, music, cocktails, dancing, & festivities! We are enthused to offer classes from wonderful teachers: 7 Song, Mary Bove, Guido Mase, Larken Bunce, Betzy Bancroft, Jeff Carpenter, Melanie Carpenter, Sandra Lory, Brendan Kelly, Megan Godfrey, Leyla Bringas, Mary Niles, and many more to be announced! One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism's community herbal clinics.
We are excited about our PechaKucha presentation, giving folks a place for their voice to be heard by all of our attendees. If you are interested in presenting your inspiring idea, experience, and inspiration around herbs at our event, please learn more here!

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions and answers that may help you arrive prepared for the day:
How do I get to the Shelburne Farms Coach Barn?
Shelburne Farms is located on Harbor Road in South Burlington, VT. Please click here to enter your address for precise driving directions. If you are flying, the closest airport is Burlington International Airport (9mi) and the closest train station is Essex Junction-Burlington Amtrak (12 mi). Unfortunately there is no public transportation on this day to Shelburne Farms. We encourage you to arrange carpools, or even bike out if you live locally! Once you arrive please follow signs and staff for parking and entrance to the Barn. It is set a ways back from the main entrance to Shelburne Farms so be prepared to add another 5-10 minutes by car to your journey once you have calculated directions in order to arrive on time.
Where should I stay for the conference?
There are many beautiful and unique places to stay in Burlington, Shelburne and the surrounding areas - a great way to spend your weekend surrounding our conference! Be sure to book early, as the conference falls on Memorial Day weekend and Burlington hosts a marathon at this time. We will not be blocking out or reserving rooms for the conference; please book on your own accord. Here are a few options we recommend:
The Inn at Shelburne Farms - stay right on the grounds and walk over to the conference!
Hotel VT - a new hotel right in the heart of downtown Burlington.
When we travel we love to check out AirBnB - search for Burlington, South Burlington, Shelburne, Charlotte, Williston or Richmond for places within a half-hours drive to the conference!
The Tibet Inn - on Route 7, close to Shelburne Farms!
There are many of the usual corporate hotel chain offerings as well as other small Bed and Breakfasts and Inns in the area as well if you search for Burlington, South Burlington, Shelburne, Charlotte, Williston or Richmond.
For camping options, try the Vermont State Parks easy to use website: http://www.vtstateparks.com/htm/map.htm The closest parks are Button Bay, Mount Philo, and D.A.R.
Ask us for more recommendations if you need to!
Are children welcome? What about pets?
Children are welcome to attend the conference. Children under the age of 12 can attend free. Childcare will not be provided, but there will be an herb walk for kids planned for part of the day! Please respect the space and attendance of others by bringing your child out of the classroom if needed, and please do not leave children unattended. Please leave the pets at home.
What does the price of registration cover?
Registration is $40 in advance (Early Bird price expires April 30th) and $50 from May 1 til the day of the conference. This covers entrance, keynote speaker, classes, and complimentary tea throughout the day. All profits go to the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism.
Are meals included with registration?
Meals are not included with registration. There will be complimentary light snacks available during the day. For lunch, we’ll have several food trucks rolling in to provide delicious options for purchase! Otherwise please bring your own, including snacks, especially if you have dietary concerns. We are holding a benefit dinner in the Barn that evening, a separately ticketed event at $25 with all profits going to VCIH. If you do not purchase a ticket for dinner we ask that you leave after our last class of the day, and head into town for an array of amazing restaurants!
What should I bring?
Here are some things you may want to consider as part of your day:
-Water in a reusable bottle - we’ll have water available for you to fill up!
-A lunch and snacks
-A comfortable cushion or portable chair, if interested- if we get a large crowd seating can be limited!
-Cash: we’ll have some great vendors arranged in a marketplace with an array of wares, herbals, etc. Come shop and support these local artisans! Also if you plan on purchasing lunch from a food truck or would like to buy a dinner ticket when you arrive!
-A plate, bowl, mug, and set of silverware if you plan on purchasing food or staying for dinner. We will have disposable ones available but we want to keep our waste as low as possible!
-Sweater or light jacket, layers: the Coach Barn is an old, drafty stone building, and late May in Burlington can still be chilly! We recommend dressing to prepare for a range of temperatures.
Where can I find the schedule?
How do I buy tickets?
Will it sell out?
We expect that it will! We have to cap the event at 275 people. Please sign up early to ensure a spot!
Is there a rain date?
There is no rain date scheduled. The majority of the activities will be held inside, so we don’t envision rain being an issue. The weather is apt to be unpredictable, as it goes in Vermont, so come prepared for your own comfort!
Is my ticket refundable?
Conference tickets are non-refundable. The proceeds are a donation to VCIH; thank you for your understanding. If you need to change the name on your ticket, we are happy to accomodate your request. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (802) 428-4707.
